14 May 13

Started month two of kettleburn 2.0 today. Did a strict one arm press with the 88 for the first time today. It went up so easy when I wasn't thinking about it. Once I thought about it and lost focus I couldn't do it again. TGU - 61 lbs now that I read the program I should be using my week 1-4 5RM but that is too easy. 61 is now my 5RM for TGU. I could go back to the 44 but it isn't even challenging. The 61 is slow and I have to stay focused. Rows/Goblet Squats - 70 lbs. I really need to use an 88 here it isn't terribly challenging with the 70. One arm swings 30w/30r I started off with the 32kg bell. Everything was going well but then as I got tired my form deteriorated. I went to a 61, but by that point my lower back was tweaked and fatigued. Bad form! So Nicci told me to stop and we were done except the birthday burpees. I foam rolled my back for a bit then we did a burpee for every year old I was. I wish I would have found the trainers I am seeing now a year ago. Then again a year ago I was in a different place. I can't do anything to get time back. All I can do is work hard today so today isn't wasted.

Hello World!

OK, that is a bit cheesy. The intent of this blog is to document my fitness journey. I've been using kettlebells for about 5 months. I've noticed huge increases in strength and muscle mass along with a decrease in bodyfat. My diet at times can be pretty crappy. I've been seeing a Strongfirst certified instructor for about a month 3x a week. I've decided I want to get certified myself to teach, but I need to make sure I'm good before the class. I figure this is a great way to document my workouts.
